About the Author
Several years ago, after a multi-decade career in fashion and home design, with a passion for precious antiques and nature, I fulfilled my lifelong dream to be an artist. The magic of colors, textures, and different shapes even shards of broken china have always fascinated me. My focus now is on creating unique art work collage, mixed media, and paintings.
My philosophy and the reason I create these pieces reflect the teeming world of nature, and of a time gone by. And when it comes to collage, I love the endless opportunities it offers to tell a story: a story of the many facets of life.”

Not My Choice! is a powerful memoir of loss, migration, and survival told through the eyes of a young girl forced to grow up too soon.
Set against the aftermath of World War II, the book follows thirteen-year-old Brigitte as she leaves everything familiar behind her homeland, her grandparents, and her sense of safety to immigrate to Australia with her mother. What begins as a promise of opportunity becomes a journey marked by betrayal, cultural dislocation, and the painful reality of starting over in an unfamiliar world.
